Zack Snyder Teases Justice League 2 & 3
The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) is one of the most controversial yet popular topics to discuss in the superhero fan community and the centre of most DCEU discussions always seems to be Zack Snyder and the 4-hour long spectacle Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Director of the hit Justice League movie, Zack Snyder, has once again sent the internet wild after teasing a potential return to the land of the DC Extended Universe.

Eagle-eyed fans pointed out something extremely exciting in Snyder’s recent Thanksgiving Day dinner video posted on his Vero account (Zack Snyder on VERO™). The post in question features a cooked turkey ready to be eaten, yet in the background you can just make out that a blurred copy of 'Absolute Final Crisis' is positioned under what seems to be two notebooks with Zack Snyder captioning the video “Thankful”. Fans who are familiar with Snyder know that he always includes subliminal messages in all his social posts and thus the huge speculation began.
The inclusion of the 2008 storyline Final Crisis is an interesting one as the story – written by Grant Morrison and art by J.G Jones and Carlos Pacheco – revolves around Darkseid acquiring the Anti-Life Equation and invading Earth which sounds strikingly similar to Zack Snyder’s original plans for his Justice League trilogy.

Snyder’s original plans for the DCEU involved Darkseid and his forces invading Earth, acquiring the Anti-Life Equation and Superman succumbing to Anti-Life for Darkseid to control him thus having the “Knightmare” timeline come to fruition and although the part about Superman doesn’t occur within the 'Final Crisis' Storyline the plot is along the same lines. But we do know that Snyder had huge plans for Darkseid and the “Knightmare” timeline that was prevalent within Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s Justice League so there’s no way that this inclusion of 'Absolute Final Crisis' in his video was by mistake.

This isn’t the only post by Snyder that’s sparked rumours of his return, another recent post by the infamous director included a clapperboard from the Justice League set with the number 279 written on the prop. The recent upload also featured an old picture of Wonder Woman with a group of old-fashioned commando’s which Snyder had previously released to the public via his Vero which has led to fans thinking he may be somehow connected with the upcoming Wonder Woman 3.

Fans also dug deep and discovered that the number 279, which was written on the prop, is referring to scene 279 of the Snyder Cut which happens to be the scene in which Darkseid tell Desaad to “Ready the Armada” which was meant to lead into Justice League 2 where Darkseid invades Earth. Again, known for his cryptic messages, it is interesting to see as to why he would use that exact clapperboard for a picture.

Is Snyder Really Making a Comeback?
Snyder himself has stated that most/all his pictures/videos that he uploads include some sort of cryptic or subliminal message which is a tactic that is extremely useful for building hype. Could this be a throwaway hint? Or is it something more? Well, the fact that millions of fans are crying out for him to return to DC movies on top of the huge success that was Zack Snyder’s Justice League surely cannot be ignored, the demand for him to develop more projects for the DCEU is staggering and we for one would love to see him return.
Another big point to mention is that Henry Cavill, the actor who portrays Superman within the DCEU, recently appeared on GQ’s YouTube channel to breakdown his most iconic characters - Henry Cavill Breaks Down His Most Iconic Characters | GQ - YouTube - and on the video he discussed how passionate he is to still explore the heroism, hope and optimism within the DCEU Superman’s story before he would succumb to the Anti-Life Equation.

This is a strange coincidence considering it is rare for him to talk publicly about his Superman portrayal as of recent years and for him to still express his excitement and willingness to explore more of Superman’s character means that there is still a huge chance that Henry Cavill is certainly not done with the character.
Ready The Armada
Twitter seems to be the biggest rallying point for Snyder fans to unite and the demand for Snyder’s DC projects were proven as the marketing company Home Brew Agency (Home Brew Agency) recently released the performance indicators for Zack Snyder’s Justice League and they were extremely impressive! See below...
Twitter is what started it all with the fans campaigning to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut from 2017-2020 that led to the eventual release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League – after the woefully re-written Justice League movie that was released in 2017 and failed miserably - and the still ongoing #RestoreTheSnyderVerse pretty much trending every day, there is no doubt that Snyder himself is extremely passionate about sharing his DCEU vision with the fans.
It could just be a matter of time until Warner Bros Studios finally pulls the trigger and allow Snyder’s full vision come to life. If his vision did indeed play out, we have absolutely no doubt that it would be a huge success and really bring the DCEU right back to being one of the top franchises in all of Hollywood.
