According to Nick ‘Professor Hulk’ Santos of That Hashtag Show, Silver Sable will be the next character to receive the collaboration of Sony and Marvel on a new solo project. Originally set to star in the cancelled Silver & Black movie which centred around Silver Sable and Black Cat, Sony have apparently made the decision to green light a solo project for Sable.
The project is not set to tie into any existing Spider-Man projects although it is set to link in with the rumoured Black Cat movie, also produced by Sony, and will lead into an eventual team-up between the two characters.
Who is Silver Sable?
Silvija Sablinova hails from the fictional country of Symkaria and was the daughter of a Nazi hunter. After her mother was murdered due to a bombing on her childhood home, she wanted to avenger her mother’s death and began training with her father. After her fathers supposed death, Silvija became the leader of the Wild Pack, a team of mercenaries put together by her father to hunt international criminals, and went on to found the Symkarian security force company known as Silver Sable International.
Although plot details are extremely scarce, the report suggests that the movie will serve as an origin for the titular character and will show Silvija Sablinova becoming the infamous mercenary we know and love her as whilst also following her journey into becoming the leader of the Wild Pack and the owner of Silver Sable International.
